Business Center
Assignments, stages, fees and due dates — the practice side, kept beside the work.
Assignment tracking and the practice-side work that sits outside any analysis.
What it does
The Business Center holds assignment tracking and the practice-side information that is not part of any one analysis: where an assignment came from, what stage it is at, what it was quoted at, when it is due, and what happened to it. It exists because the work is a business and the business information lives somewhere. Keeping it beside the work rather than in a separate system means one place to look.
An assignment moves through stages — received, inspected, in analysis, in review, delivered. Tracking the stage is what makes a pipeline visible: six assignments in analysis and two in review is a different week from eight in analysis and none in review, and knowing which you have is the point. Fees and due dates sit on the assignment, so what was quoted and when it is owed are never in a different file from the work.
Businesses and clients live here too. A business carries its name, address and phone, a logo, a firm accent color the reports use, the signature image, the signer's name and the license line — which fills itself from the license number, state and expiration and prints on the report. Clients carry their name, company and address. Set a default business and every report opens with the right letterhead.

Where it sits
In the workflow
The Business Center sits beside the analysis rather than inside it. The business and client it holds flow into Report Manager's cover page, cover letter and signature block; the assignment record tracks the file from receipt to delivery.
